Cub Scouts CaresThe Friday, September 23rd Pack Meeting featured a very special service project, Cub Scouts Cares. The Scouts (with help from their Moms, and Dads) stuffed, stitched up, and prepared personalized bear messages for the children at Goryeb Children's Hospital in Morristown, NJ.
Welcome Pack 59 ScoutsCelebrating 50 years as the St. Vincent de Paul chartered Cub Scout Pack, the 2011-12 Pack 59 scouting program kicks off on Friday, September 23rd, with our first Pack meeting of the year! As always, the Pack meetings are held in the newly renovated St. Vincent de Paul School gym at 7:30 PM.
Our Den leaders have been busy planning the events and activities for the coming year, while the Pack leaders have been working hard as well. Our September Pack meeting will include a special service project, named Cub Scouts Cares, where our Scouts will be creating personalized stuffed bears for the children at Goryeb Childrens' Hospital in Morristown, NJ. Cub Scout Pack 59 is open to all boys in grades 1 through 5, and is not exclusive to children enrolled at St. Vincent de Paul school. We welcome boys from all over Long Hill Township, as well as any of the other surrounding towns. We work closely with the BSA Troop 59 on advancement planning for our Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts, as well as other events throughout the year such as Scouting for Food in November, Christmas In The Woods in December, and the Webelos Klondike Derby at the Watchung Reservation in January. Please contact any of our Pack 59 leaders (listed on our Leader Page) to find out more or to join Pack 59!
